Nature is just there. It neither expects nor demands anything, nor does it ask to change us. You are WELCOME as you are now. It’s this beauty and simplicity that is so beneficial to our whole organism.
As a highly sensitive, I quickly get into EXCESSIVE DEMAND or EXHAUSTION in certain situations. Nature in its tranquillity and simplicity acts as a balm on the nervous system. Raging thoughts calm down just like a wildly beating heart.
Everything becomes simple and reduced to what is ESSENTIAL. Movement releases tension stored in the body. The beauty of nature brings back JOY while exploring NEW TRAILS stimulate the spirit of adventure.
It is essential to immerse oneself in stillness again and again. To walk silently for a while, or to sit quietly by a river. The experience is rather different. Being silent allows you to concentrate on your feelings and sensations. I experience times of stillness as very nurturing and fulfilling.
Another important aspect is the experience of CONNECTION, which we feel in nature immediately. In the natural world, I never feel separated; but always connected with ALL-THAT-IS. Feelings of loneliness, void or “feeling cut off” are transformed into the innate certainty of being part of the big picture. In nature, I am at home.
It’s about experiencing AWARENESS of the MAGIC OF THE PRESENT MOMENT: The brittle dryness of a rock, the glittering of the sun’s rays on the water, the flight of a bird, the amazement of old giant trees, the smell of freshly cut grass, the smile of another person, the light breeze on your cheek. The conscious perception of such moments is very enriching. You feel fully alive again. JOY OF BEING returns.
